Stamford Board of REALTORS® Committees

Affiliate and Sponsor Committee

Chair: Vikktoria Cooper
Secure and develop relationships with affiliate members for the mutual professional advancement of the SBOR and affiliate members.  Identify sponsors for SBOR events and continuing education. Develop sponsorship “packages” and grow list of sponsors outside of the “regulars.”  Plan and execute the affiliate member expo.

Social and Community Outreach

Chair: Roxana Bajra
Organize all SBOR social events.  Work with non-profit organizations and plan events for membership participation that demonstrate SBOR’s commitment to the City of Stamford. This includes planning fundraising events such as happy hours.

Continuing Education

Chairs: John Pellegrino & Olwyn Fagan
Help select and plan continuing education classes for license renewal. Includes identifying new curricula and educators to keep SBOR offerings fresh and compelling.

City Hall (Planning, Zoning, & Environmental)

Chairs: Dave Campana
Keep abreast of proposed and ongoing city projects and issues, and report to board and membership.  Liaison to city hall, Mayor’s office and various departments that affect the REALTOR community.

Membership / New Agent Orientation

Chairs: Vikktoria Cooper, Marilynn Loglisci
Responsible for the adherence to Article V of the By-Laws of SBOR, including qualification and election of new members, new member orientation class, and Code of Ethics orientation requirement for new REALTORS.

Communications/Public Relations

Chair: Olwyn Fagan
Responsible for “inside” and “outside” communications of important SBOR news and events. Includes newsletter, brand identity, website, social media, and press relations.

School Liaison/Scholarship

Chair: Jeff Wirz
Maintain relationship with Stamford Public Schools administration, keeping board abreast of developments. Organize and promote both public and private school tours. Evaluate scholarship applications and determine recipients.

Legislative/Political Affairs

Chair: TBD
Liaison between CTR Legislative/Political Affairs committee and SBOR. Keeps Board and membership apprised of significant developments in statewide legislation and political issues.

Grievance/Professional Standards

Chair: Nancy Hadden
Makes determinations as to the validity of complaints and sits on panels for Ethics and Arbitration hearings.

Programming

Chair: John Pellegrino
Plan and organize compelling and relevant membership meetings. Includes identifying and hiring engaging speakers and proposing formats and content that will add to and enhance the skill set and professional experience of the members.

RPAC & Issues Advocacy

Chair: TBD
Educate the membership on the importance of raising funds for RPAC and Issues Advocacy. Help SBOR surpass its RPAC goal.

Young Professionals

Chair: TBD
Build participation and increase involvement among members under age (40). Includes planning events targeted at young REALTOR professionals and affiliated professions.
